In 1894 South Shields, where John Barbour opened his first store, was a burgeoning port full of fisherman, mariners, sailors and dockers, all of whom needed protective clothing against the worst of the North Sea weather. The Men’s Driftwood collection is a celebration of this time with the colours of the collection, washed indigo, royal navy greys and sunset orange inspired by fishing nets and sea fishing floats.
