No, GDPR won’t let you read your boss’ emails about you


The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Europe’s new massive move towards a modern legal framework to protect our rights in the digital age. It’s a daunting undertaking and the goal is admirable, but as with many EU initiatives, it’s ripe for misinterpretations. GDPR is an incredibly complex matter and it’s hard for a regular layman to wrap his head around it (I’ve had to rectify a few mistakes in my reporting on it).
