Intermolecular Forces with Evaporation of Alcohols Using Go Directâ„¢ Temperature


In this experiment, our Chemistry Staff Scientist, Melissa Hill, PhD, studies temperature changes caused by the evaporation of two alcohols and relates the temperature changes to the strength of intermolecular forces of attraction. Data is collected using two Go Direct Temperature Probes and our free Graphical Analysisâ„¢ 4 app. An inquiry approach is presented using prediction tools included in the app.
