Find more on descaling: http://ift.tt/2exdJMF Buy your descaler here: http://ift.tt/2iVQ1yr Why is it so important to descale the Senseo®? - It prolongs the life of you Senseo® coffee Machine - It ensures maximum cup volume - It ensures maximum taste & coffee temperature - The machine produces less sound during brewing - It prevents malfunctioning Descaling procedure consists of 2 decalcifying cyces and 2 rinsing cycles which in total take about 30 minutes. Step 1: Mix 50 grams of citric acid with 1 liter of water Stir until powder is completely dissolved Step 2: Fill water reservoir with descaling mixture Step 3: Place water reservoir back onto coffee machine Step 4: Press the on/off button to switch on the appliance On/off lights blinks slowly Step 5: Use a bowl with a capacity of min. 1500ml Step 6: Place 1-cup pod holder with used coffee pod in the machine Wait until on/off light lights up continuously Step 7: Press 2-cup button and let machine operate Let the machine heat up again Step 8: When heated up, let the machine operate again Repeat until water reservoir is empty* * Not all SENSEO® machine types have a water reservoir with a capacity of 1 litre. If you have a SENSEO® machine with a smaller water reservoir, add the rest of the descaling mixture in the water reservoir and repeat pressing the 2-cup button until the water reservoir is empty. Step 9: Replace with 2-cup pod holder with other used coffee pod Step 10: Repeat procedure a second time * * Do not refill the water reservoir with used hot water or the used descaling mixture.
